RPF Founder Kelly Young Interviewed on Mayo Clinic News Blog

November 13, 2011 in Events

Mayo News Blog interviewed Kelly about attending the ACR Scientific Meeting in Chicago as RPF presents its first exhibit representing the patient point of view.

Mayo Clinic takes a pioneer role in healthcare.  It was true in the 1980’s when they Mayo brothers began a hospital on this principle: "The best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered." It was true as they pioneered the health record in 1907. It was true last year when Mayo Clinic launched the Social Media Health Network. And it’s true today as they now report from medical meetings like the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Scientific Meeting in Chicago this week.

Of course, so is our founder, Kelly Young, who writes for the RA Warrior website and others. In this video interview, Kelly tells Mayo Clinic why patients would want to attend a scientific medical conference or read reports of what is discussed there.
