Rheumatoid Awareness Day is observed on February 2, giving people with the chronic illness known as rheumatoid arthritis, or rheumatoid disease, a day of recognition. Because the disease is commonly presumed to be a type of arthritis, awareness is lacking, causing problems with disability accommodations, clinical care, healthcare costs and research funding. Join us each February, and all the year long as we heighten awareness.
In 2017, RPF launched what is to our knowledge the first-ever Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign for rheumatoid disease -- utilizing donated billboard space from Lamar Advertising. Lamar has been a great media partner, participating with us in Rheumatoid Awareness Day, and helping us place longer-term PSAs on billboards throughout the country.
RPF has made available a large collection of digital images for the purpose of spreading awareness. These images can be shared on social media or used on your social media profiles to help others better understand rheumatoid disease. Some resources are also downloadable and printable.
